Hamed Taherdoost

Dr. Hamed Taherdoost is an
award-winning researcher, R&D leader, and technology
consultant with over two decades of international
experience across academia and industry. He is a
Professor at University Canada West and holds
academic affiliations with Westcliff University
(USA), GISMA University of Applied Sciences
(Germany), the Victorian Institute of Technology
(Australia), and the National Kaohsiung University
of Science and Technology (Taiwan), reflecting a
strong global academic presence.
In industry, he has held senior leadership roles
including CTO and R&D Director, contributing to
projects and organizations across Malta, Cyprus,
Malaysia, and Canada, leading innovation in digital
transformation and applied technologies.
Dr. Taherdoost has authored hundreds of high-impact,
Scopus-indexed publications and serves as an editor
for leading international journals with Springer,
IEEE, InderScience, IGI Global, and Frontiers. He is
also the Series Editor of Routledge’s Mastering
Academic Excellence series, advancing research,
teaching, and publishing practices globally.

Tao Zhang

Dr. Tao Zhang is a Full Professor at Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST). He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Seoul and was a Postdoctoral Fellow at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He also holds a B.S. in Automation and an M.Eng in Software Engineering from Northeastern University, China. Dr. Zhang is the Founding Chair of the IEEE Computer Society Macau Chapter and Conference Chair of the IEEE TCSE. He is a Fellow of BCS, a Senior Member of ACM and IEEE, and a Distinguished Member of CCF. He is also an IEEE Computer Society Distinguished Visitor. He has over 100 publications in top venues like ICSE, TSE, and TIFS. He has served as General Chair for conferences including ISSRE 2027, APSEC 2025, and SANER 2023, and regularly serves on program committees for ICSE, FSE, ASE, and ISSTA. Dr. Zhang is an Associate Editor-in-Chief of IEEE TSE, an Associate Editor for IEEE TRel, JSS, and OJCS, and an Editorial Board Member of EMSE and SCP.
